There were a couple of minor stream crossings and a fair amount of gravel on Mines when I drove it at the end of December. I can't imagine what its like now based on all the rain it sounds like you guys have been having. I've been driving a manual, diesel wagon on the wrong side of the road since the 3rd so I don't know what its really been like back at home.

Yes, even when stuck behind people going really slow its so much better than rush hour on 680 when commuting. Only another year or so until it opens back up during the week. Definitely a lot of corners where you don't want to push it based on how narrow it is and the lack of visibility. I did see a Mustang who's driver apparently forgot about turning and went off the road on one of the hairpins. Fortunately it was just into a ditch and not off a cliff.

Be careful out there!

I went for a drive yesterday up Redwood Rd, Skyline, and Grizzly Peak Blvd. Redwood was surprisingly clear of any felled trees, but did have a few corners with water running across the road.

Everything was fine until these two corners on Grizzly Peak Blvd. I was taking it conservatively as the roads were still wet, but I somehow still managed to slide around. Good thing I had it in Sport mode to save my butt.

The sudden loss of traction was like hitting ice or an oil spill. I couldn't tell what it was even after looking at the dashcam footage, but it just goes to show you that you never know what's going to happen on the street.

I'm actually surprised you slipped where you did. When I realized what corner you were on, I assumed you would slip earlier in that hair pin since its a decreasing radius. I did notice a little puddle of something around the 0:22 mark that could be what caused that slip. There is an even trickier corner about 1/4 mile further down where I've seen at least half a dozen cars understeer into.

Yeah I found it really odd. I never had issues with that corner and it was only a slight decreasing radius. I know the road like the back of my hand so it really caught me off guard.

Yo dudes! So for the run this weekend here is the plan!
When: Sunday 29th at 6:00pm
Where: Meet at top floor of the Parking Garage across the street from Cream in Livermore
2375 Railroad Ave, Livermore, CA 94550
Goal: Gen Korean BBQ for Dinner
So due to all the people giving me fair warning abut the conditions of the roads during this time we decided to be suuuuper safe and just do a gentle cruise down to fremont for some good food.
Course is as follows. Start at Cream, go down Isabell through 84. Take Sunol through to Niles Canyon and end up in fremont. Its not a very flashy or impressive drive but better to be safe than sorry.
For those who want to join for dinner please PM me directly so i can put in a reservation.
See y'all there!

Got a little break Sunday morning from all the rain so I decided to go looking for some twisites in my new neck of the woods. A quick survey of Google maps showed some decent ones about 50 mins away so I went to check it out. Who knew these "foot hills" were higher enough to get snow. Slippy slidey good fun with these Prius tires even at 30-50 mph lol

Went for a drive up Redwood Rd on my way to Cars & Coffee in Alameda today. Captured some exhaust clips from the Milltek and Nameless combo I bought from @BigFatFlip.

Probably won't be much twisters honestly. Nile canyons is closed still so it's more of a caravan down to milpitas for food.

If you want to join us we are meeting at 6pm top floor of the parking garage across from Cream in Livermore
