Milton-ey area. Grabbing this one from Sarnia actually. (Hope it's not snowing on Saturday! Tires looked a little rough for 30000km).

What parts are you stockpiling? I made sure nobody let me spend any money on this car. hah!

Got black and gold edition valenti tails , HID kit since the FRS doesnt come with HIDS, and a HKS air filter. Hopefully by summer time i'll have an exhaust or maybe wheels first! Just a little spending wont hurt

I am lowered 1 1/2 inches and have done fine. Even in the winters we actually had snow.

Do NOT try to drive it in the cold with the stock tires. Doesn't matter if there is no snow just don't do it. They turn into hockey pucks with zero traction.

Thanks, yes, that's what I figured. So a boot down the 401 with no snow (and no snows on), it'll still have very little traction you think? (let's assume 0 degrees).

Very little traction. They are a pure summer tire.
Anything approaching freezing and they just turn squirrelly. It can be done. I wouldn't do it, but it can be done.

Look into it a bit and you'll see plenty of official verbiage saying summer compound tires are not meant for use in colder temps, especially near or below freezing. The tires harden when they get that cold, and they no longer provide a safe amount of traction.

If you'll be driving in snow or cold temps, get some snow tires. At the end of the day, $400-1000 is cheap insurance to keep from wrecking a $25k car because even the nannies couldn't beat physics. And if you ever do get caught in the snow on snow tires, then the car is just fun.

Hah, no I am very aware of that. I meant for the drive home from the dealership (TCoat knows where I mean. A straight shot of highway for 3 hours).

Is there AAA in Canada? They could tow it home for you if you have the higher end membership.
