Damn, that thing's smokin'! Welcome back! I still kick myself from time to time for not getting the 6MT myself, but as a daily in traffic, the auto still has the charm from when I bought mine three months ago. Definitely makes work commutes fun.

The stripe has grown on me too. I wasn’t all about it at first but now I see it as a mark of history.

Quick question: there is a little button next to the trunk open button. If I press and hold it then it lights up red and if I press it again it turns off. What the hell is it? I can’t figure it out for the life of me.

Strange. I don't have that button.

Looks like your car came with a surprise mutation...

Hmmmm, does anything happen on the dashboard when you press it? Under what conditions have you pressed it? On/off, cold/warmed up?

Looks like something a car with an aftermarket security system or radar detector would have but you said you bought it new so hard to tell. I’d ask the dealership maybe they know something though I doubt it.

I bought it used - previous owner had it for about 6 months before his wife turned up pregnant.

I have only pressed it when the car was on, parked and after a drive. I haven’t tried it with the car off or cold. I’ll try both in the AM.

I messaged the dealer tonight to see if they know what it is or if they can contact the previous owner and help me figure it out.

My guess it's for fog lights or something along the lines of that. As that's where the factory fog button goes. Is the car equipped with fogs? Also some people use independent wiring to allow dogs or other lights to be even if low beams are not on.
