Installed a Drift Armor bar on the car. I had the oem beam painted black for a while, but it didn't blend very well with the grille delete. This is a much cleaner look, and to top it all off I actually saw an improvement in IAT's. (which is a big deal in Florida where we have 1 season)

Seeing double!

A friend of mine up in Tampa offered me a trade plus cash for my R400 and I accepted.

I got a single exit Tanabe Concept G, and I can without a doubt say it is my favorite exhaust setup thus far. 0 drone at any rpm, and all of the glorious Subaru noise is kept outside the cabin. I can hear it echo off of surrounding traffic, but once the windows go up I can have a full conversation.

Exhaust system finally complete!

ISR Performance over pipe installed. It's $110 part, and it shows, lol but most importantly it works. Not a single fitment or flange issue. The exhaust tone got slightly deeper once installed.

Full system is now 2.5" all the way to the catback which is 2.3". Full catless.

I have the single exit concept G as well, but with OEM header & overpipe, but catless FP.

I agree with your description of how you can really hear it outside the car and when you're getting on it, but on the freeway and just general cruising around, there's zero drone. It's amazing how it can sound so different at different times. I love how it just screams when you open it up, and if you let off the gas abruptly in 2nd between 4-5.5k and let it decelerate. So aggressive and crazy sounding.

It was the 4th catback I tried on the car and it'll be the last!

Yeah it is VERY rowdy with a full headerback system lol. Funny you should be the one to comment, I actually went through a few threads you were involved in when researching the exhaust. I believe it is also my 4th. muffler delete, Manzo, Invidia, Tanabe.

Hah, nice. I'm feeling the 5 spoke wheels you got and that paint matched spoiler. Good looking car, man!

How do you like that HKS air filter? I'm using a Cosworth one now that I've had in there for years (27k miles on my car), I should probably start thinking about changing it out.

Is the surround portion of the filter hard plastic, or rubber? The Cosworth uses a rubber ring that seemed to want to shift around when installing it. Kinda tricky to get a good airbox seal as a result.

Man I am not looking forward to replacing the filter, it's annoying.

I quite like it. I was in the market for a dry filter because I'm not a fan of oiled filters. I felt a legitimate power bump via butt dyno, but that could also be because I went from an oem paper filter with like 35k on it at the time (think bugs, twigs, etc.) to a high flow replacement that actually has proven gains lol.

The housing is all plastic. You just put it where it needs to go. Easy. Lastly, you should definitely change yours. The old filter pictured only has 10k on it.
