Hypothesis: Every car looks cooler on jack stands with wheels off than on the ground with wheels on provided there is no visible damage in either case.

Thoughts?

Implication: We should all be raising or jumping our cars.

Back during the Windows 3.1 days I worked for a company (W.R. Grace) that had a division named Cryovac. You've never heard of them most likely but you've "bought" their products as they make storage bags, like the type that are used to cover fresh and frozen turkeys.

Anyway, when we rolled out MS-Mail and the first version of Office, the spell checker would correct "Cryovac" to "scrotum", which when you think about it makes sense since, after all, they are both packaging.

If people weren't careful it corrected automatic signatures so that the company name got changed making for interesting titles like

"Director, Marketing: Scrotum, a Grace Company"

We never could get MS to fix it although eventually the spellchecker started correcting it to Crook or Croak which was little better.

We did the same about 10 years ago, which was also difficult for me because my Father owned a roofing company and I spent many a youthful summer laying down shingles in the North Carolina heat.

Then again my house has a 10/12 pitch so I had no business up on it. Writing the check was definitely less painful when basically the whole job was done in about 12 hours and didn't require a single trip to the ER.

We had many cryovac machines when I worked for Cargill in about the same era.

My favorite auto spelling change was when I worked for Siemens. We had this total jerk of a maintenance manager named Angus Young (ya just like the other more famous one) which the system insisted on changing to young anus every time his name was typed. Nobody ever bothered to fix it and he would rant through the halls every time there was an email with his name in it. There were time we would even try to word emails so that it was even funnier. "I went into the office looking for young anus..."

I believe that this was a missed opportunity to get into condom manufacturing.

If you are using condoms on your scrotum you are doing it wrong!

Ah yes, because all the cartels in Mexico only go after those who deserve it, and don't do it for shock and awe
