That's awesome. I was trying to find an Evo X up here before I opted for something in RWD. It looks great.

Yeah def is weird esp today as majority of cars are all 6spd ! I don't event recall last 5spd I had off hand, been many years! But gearing is good on Hwy, not the lowest Rpm , I think a little over 3k doing 70mph range. Def spools and gets to 80mph pretty good rolling 5th.

I am curious to see what Subaru does w/ the whole new design WRX/STi to come, since it won't be based on Impreza based.

Drive an Evo , you will notice how much sharper/crisper it feels over WRX/STi steering, boost spools much sooner too!

Thanks for compliments Guys, I am Loving it and looking fwd to 2013 Autocross season ahead for the 1st time in Autocross I took 1st
last 5 events and helped me get bumped up to 3rd place overall for the year. Going to B-Stock will def be more competitive and shall be a fun season W/ Awd+Boost combo !! I don't see being floored in the Evo quite nearly as much as I was in the FR-S, but that's what made FR-S soo user friendly to race because you weren't going Insanely too fast through the track and didn't have to brake too much, Shall be whole new ballgame / driving style in the Evo GSR

how would you compare your 135i vs evo vs FRS just curious because those are the ones i had to choose from and i steered away from the 135 cuz the n54 had that fuel pump problem that just killed it for me and the evo just isnt never really struck me as something i wanted UNTIL i drove it.

X didn't come with a 6 speed because the 6 speed tranny was garbage compared to the 5 speed.

I loved the 135i, Instant TQ ! I didn't have fuel pump issues on that, but prior 335 fuel pump went. They had full recall on them it sounded. That engine Rocked! I think like 300TQ at only 1500rpms no lag, car ran like 13.3 stock! Good lux/ sporty car. However at autocross I learned real fast open dif w/ all that lowend TQ one tire fire all the time. If I wasn't into racing, I would of loved it more / kept it longer. Many do Cobb AP reflash and run upper 12s just w/ reflash. That engine did great Mpg too! I set cruise 70mph and Avg 28mpg Def was Very Happy coming from run of Subaru STi's where I'd be happy to see 22mpg Hwy. After owning STi's prior, Evo's steering feel Shined while planted in the Recaro's! Biggest STi gripe was wide/crappy seats. In the corners/handling FRS is soo solid, maintains composure, I admit cornering the Evo feels like a mini van coming from FRS, FRS being soo low / planted. I haven't race my Evo yet, 1st Autocross is April. So far , I am pretty Happy w/ Evo, I have nice mod list to install ahead and a tune in a couple weeks. That should Yield +60whp range or so and doing some handling mods also soon( GtWorx Springs, Camber bolts, Whiteline rear sway bar) Evo has tons of room, but backseat doesn't fold down. My snowboard fit in backseat so that was good! Rwd is fun, you can Drift, have lots of counter steering fun, but in end when you increase Power, traction issues arise, I live in the NW - this is my 6th Awd+Turbo car. Nice to have a Fun car for all weather and Awd Traction I do love The Evo platform is strong, over seas the FQ400 is factory 400hp car, tuners have proved w/ mods to hang w/ a stock GTR on a track, labeled as the " Poor mans GTR " . I look fwd to racing my Evo X, hoping I can be competitive as I was in the FRS last season. I had a blast in the FRS, I finished 3rd overall and had 5 1st place wins toward the end. The Hankook RS3's / RPF1's combo was great mod for that car, stuck great , Very Easy to Drive! If I hadn't owned soo many turbo cars the FRS wouldn't have bugged me so much being low power / NA. My main let down was power level.

Sorry long ramble haha my .02 on it!

Exactly why I just traded my 350whp Evo X for an FR-S Always felt too big.

Congratulations though, you will enjoy the X. You're right about the Evo's steering, it's amazingly perfect. Enjoy it!

Yeah def feels tall in comparison, hoping the Springs / alignment / Rear sway bar is big difference.

What mods did you have for 350whp? So far I have ETS intake / Testpipe, English Racing tune in couple weeks.

Thank you!!

The suspension bits will definitely help with that feeling, but I was slammed on coilovers and the car still felt too big. At the same time, I'm not very tall myself, so maybe that had something to do with it. I had it for 3 years, and had an VIII before that. Love Evo's, very fun to drive.

I got my 350whp/360wtq from ETS intake, UICP, FMIC, bov, test pipe, catback, 3-port, and custom 93oct tune. I think I could have made close to the same power with just a drop in, test pipe, 3-port, and tune.
