Q300TI or Perrin?

Which one and why?

Price is a mute point. If you have one of these would you get it again or get another if you had it to do over?

I am interested in this topic as well.

In the future I will be in the market for an exhaust. I am looking for one that will be a close to stock levels as possible with a Borla or OFH.

So far, everything is pointing toward the q300.

Q300TI or Perrin?

It depends on a few things - I have JR SC, P&L 4-1 headers/overpipe/front pipe and 2.5" Perrin. Lovely sound, can be a little loud on cold starts, gets better quickly after initial throttle, sounds nice on cruising (no drone) and it sounds like it means business when opened up while not too loud or raspy at all.

What I think you're looking for is feedback from someone who has similar other relevant bits to yours, and who tried both...and their liking may still be different from yours.

I am really looking for honest impressions of the systems. A little back story on this one: I bought the Borla cat back system and regretted it, in the end I just had to return it. This is NOTHING against Borla, I probably got fluke QC issues. But that is not the point, I just want to hear from anyone that has one of these exhausts and how they feel about it. Thanks ahead of time fellas!!

Perrin catback for sure. Not going to lie the V band clamp the quality of the metal and the over sound is amazing.

Honestly probably the best catback overall quality.

I've been flip flopping between the two myself for months. Ultimately went with the perrin 2.5 resonated catback. The quality seemed a bit higher and I like the deeper note I generally heard from it from the dozens of videos I watched. The look was also a plus for me. I like the perrin tips a lot more than invidia's. It really came down to sound at the end of the day for me and the slight edge on quality (imo). They are both great exhausts but perrin had the sound I was looking for. I'm going to install it hopefully this weekend. teamCZP offers a great deal on the perrin right now.

If I had [the money] to choose between these two, I'd get the Perrin Resonated catback. It looks better, is made better, and sounds better.

I went Perrin 2.5" resonated with high-flow cat from the overpipe back and have been very happy with it. I had a TurboXS turboback with RFL-Ti on my WRX and didn't want anything that loud again. The Perrin is a little loud on cold start, but after 30-40s, it settles right down. It's quiet while driving normally, but you really hear it if you get on it.

I prefer the shine/polish and rolled tips of the Q300. Also, the middle of the Perrin muffler turns brown on every car I've seen on youtube.
Assuming your interested in the resonated Perrin, the systems are very similar. You can't go wrong with either.

Which part turning brown are you referring to? The muffler tips? If so, that will happen to any exhaust after a while. I coated my tips with some Opticoat when I did my car and during washes, I just wipe it with a damp rag and it's nice and shiny again.

Q300TI or Perrin?

I have a FT86SF catted header, PLM overpipe, DC Sports uncatted unresonated test pipe and a Q300 and it sounds absolutely amazing. No drone at all. You can drive it lightly and barely make a sound but put your foot more than 20% throttle and holy shit it's sounds meaty!! Definitely the best DD IMO. I could only imagine if I had gone with any other catback. The noise would probably be unbearable.

He's talking about where the exhaust hits the wall in the muffler before exiting the dual pipes. It turns brown\gold there from the impact of the heat. Happens on every Perrin catback I've seen.

So in other words, part of the muffler under the car? If so, who cares? Things under the car are bound to get dirty/nasty over time.
