You think?
I don't know he must know his racing as he can quote F&F so must have seen it and learned a pile. It is an instructional video on how to race right? Couple of fun comments from him in previous threads: "I challenge any FRS enthusiast to take the same speed on the same corner/turn I do. I'm fully stock. If you can do it I'll give you 2 thumbs up!" "I usually get banned for winning most of the time. They don't believe I'm not a professional."

I keep my car stock. Frankly non of the cosmetic stuff interests me. I mean the sharky antenna thing does nothing for me. I like the stock wheels much more than any aftermarket ones. The most interesting thing would be turbocharging, but the value quotient is not there. Its just too much money for too little gain. Might as well buy a used Cayman. The only thing I don't like about the car is that the steering feels a little light at high speeds, maybe that's the tires or maybe the 2015 mods have corrected that. Anyway, I am all for mods for those who want them, but I respect those that know how to enjoy what they have.

6 weeks and I've already torn out the entire audio system and upgraded it. Sorry, but the stock (non-satnav) head unit, cables and speakers are pretty crap and, though I'm not one to drive round blasting music loud enough to make ears bleed, I do appreciate a quality sound system and all the modern connectivity they entail.
A brilliant tip, that I learned from other posters here, is to simply drive your car for a while and see what you would like to improve (if anything). Then slowly take that change in and learn if it was a step in the right direction. This site is a bottomless pit of ideas. I read peoples build threads and learn cool things all the time. This also includes peoples experiences with bad choices and the classic 'if I was to do it all again, would I of done things differently' kind of posts. Moding was always my intention, but I have to play it safe with a view towards warranty and this being my daily driver. I respect people that just buy a car and leave it stock, but that's my view of more expensive cars like GTR's, M's, AMG's ie you leave those stock and enjoy them as being factory tuned to perfection, but the twins are relatively cheap, this site (and others) are such a wealth of knowledge and there is so much after market support for this platform that it seems a waste not to mod it in some way.

my motto is: if you dont respect the car in stock form, no amount of modding will make you truely love the car.
i had originally intended to keep my frs stock since it was one of the very first ever sold. (earliest oone in my state that i know of) but then i started getting sucked in to this modding stuff and im kinda addicted to it. i treat it like an art project to reflect me. its not a race car, its just my car lol

I guess with a side project and the FRS still under warranty, it's kind of in my interests to keep the Scion stock while the older car is okay to tinker around with. I can afford the MR2 being down IF anything happens (its always been a very reliable car = 90's overbuilt Toyota). But not my brand new FRS, with waranty and still being financed. I'll rather keep her stock till it's free from the loan then do EVERYTHING after. It'd suck to have a car that is financed, blow a motor or a gearbox after you sunk monies into a powerful setup, and still having to pay out of pocket to fix it on top of the loan. That's like a double whammy ahaha. Since I DD my FRS, I need it to be 100% reliable. That means stock or close to stock. I've been very good at keeping it that way so far. I will admit though, I am toying with idea of selling my MR2 and sinking the funds into a beater then turbo'ing the FRS. Having a beater would allow me to tinker with the FRS safely because I could afford to have it down if anything happens. But then I would be driving a beater, lose my MR2 , and have payments on a car I can risk potentially blowing up. But a turbo FRS is just so badass!!! Logically though, the MR2 already provides me what a basic turbo FRS offers so for now, the FRS is my beater with a warranty lol.

Self confidence and good self esteem are one thing but the constant "I am am better then everybody else here" theme is just plain douchey. You have not one single clue as too how any of us drive or what our abilities are and we have little, to no, chance to show you so your assertions are unfounded and non quantifiable. Your comments are more suited to a 18 year old Gran Turismo player then the 31 year old you claim to be. The two "new" guys you have never seen are actually two of the people on here with consistently reliable and accurate info so I don't know how you have missed them up to this point. Pretty sure you would actually get along if you lighten up on the "I will kick your ass" attitude.

So... enough banter for tonight (well this morning) as I actually have an real question.
What spoiler is that on your car? It looks like it wraps around the side a bit more then the lip one and I like it.
