My friends, I am insanely stupid and need to be walked through this.

I've drilled the holes and run the wires into the trunk, I can disassemble the dash and trim to run the wires up to the HU.

At the end of my harness, I have this red wire, black wire, and yellow RCA input. This is the harness from SVXdc, I purchased it years ago.

At the end of the Rydeen harness, there's that little plug where it splits off into two disctinct cables. At the end of one cable I have a red wire and an RCA output.

At the end of the other part I have this:

Would someone please tell me what to connect where, and do so like you're talking to a toddler. I can do a lot with cars but electronics make my brain melt.

Thank you for indulging me on this.

It's been awhile, but I believe I soldered the red wire at the RCA end to the power lead on the SVXdc harness. Then I put some extra heat-shrink on the red power lead at the ground end (to make sure it wouldn't short on anything) and affixed the ground wire to one of the bolts holding down the factory amplifier under the trunk liner.

I snagged a copy of the guide I used way back when:

Excellent dropbox tutorial thx ethan. Intuitively, for some reason, everyone tends to run the wiring from the back to the front via the door sill and I did the same with a parking sensor system. Later, with my camera system, I discovered the MUCH easier way is to run the wires across the front of the floor of the trunk to the centre then under the foldable back seat backrest & tuck the wiring up under the edge of the cover over the tail-shaft tunnel, and forward to the dash area.

I've been having a connection problem for the last year or so. 2013 BRZ.

Sometimes the camera will work when I put it in reverse, and sometimes it doesn't and the "R" for reverse won't even show up on the dash.

I currently have the adapter harness connected via 12v in the trunk via the amp, and I have it connected behind the head unit via a 12v? cable. I believe my camera is a knockoff as the 6v cable on the adapter doesn't do anything.

I can even get everything to work without anything plugged in behind the headunit, but still intermittent. Only using the wires behind the headunit never works, which is how I believe most people are installing theirs?

Any feedback would be appreciated.

I'm running into trouble getting the Duo2 to work with my Pioneer AVH-X5800BHS.

I have the RCA cable connected to the brown R.C.IN port. I connected the ground wire to bolt under the rear driver-side seat. I tried splicing the ground-end power wire to the Remote line on my Alpine MRV-V500 amp, but I'm not getting any image.

I tried disconnecting from the amp and connecting to the RCA-end power line to a purple wire back of the HU that was labeled "Reverse Trigger," but no luck there either.

I've read that a couple people tapped a pink wire in a driver-side panel, but I haven't been able to find it. Any advice would be appreciated.
