Just a question. I'm on my first winter with my BRZ, and the paint is getting frickin peppered by the gravel they use on the roads. How is the paint on your car after four winters?

I just had more PPF (clear-bra) applied to my car yesterday because of this. The 2017 BRZ paint seems to be a bit fragile and thin, I had small rock chips in front of the rear wheels in the usual spots.

I had PPF added behind the front and rear wheels as well as in front of the rear wheels. Hopefully this helps keep the car free from little scratches.

I left some tips on the second page of that thread. Most time consuming thing is just working out the spacing for getting the correct fitment of the vent to the mounting shroud. Cutting the back part is a bit of a PITA too, but patience pays off.

Haha yeah, it looks like a long tedious lesson on "just a litttttttle bit more filing" x100 times.

Bought her last week. It rained for the past couple of days, so I got out in the sub-50 degree weather and washed her.

Paint is still flawless. I got paint protection film installed when I brought the car new. I felt it was a good investment for me. (Learned my lesson from my previous car)

OEM. The pic just makes it look more brighter/bluish.

I did zero filing. Hot utility knife is the trick. Cuts right through the plastic. Blow torch -> knife -> plastic. Repeat as needed. Allows for precision.

Also, once you make a big cut to remove a chunk of plastic, you can make successive little cuts along the same plane without re-heating the knife.
