Mine took 6 days before something fell on the hood and left a dent.
Two options: get over it (I couldn't) or get a PDR guy to come out. I paid $100 and the dent was gone. Well worth your sanity. |

Less than 24 hours of ownership and some mother fucker decided to push a shopping cart into the passengerside mirror and scuffed it up. Thankfully a detailer was able to make it almost invisible.
Last Friday some fucker in some rusted out shitbox truck or suv did a hit'n'run job on my rear bumper. |

Didnt think much about it when this chick got out of the car and I heard the door hit my rear fender. Couple days later, I noticed a small dent with no paint damage on the area. Pretty sure it was from that. This happened before I hit 1k miles.
Now that the 1st dent, chip and scratch are out of the way, I can enjoy driving my BRZ hard and not worry about it. I still park further away or park next to nicer cars when I'm out. |

Remember, the first ding is the most painful. You could keep your car in the garage and just allow yourself and close loved ones get near it ...... but wait, that may not work! The first week we had our car, my wife inflicted the first ding (with her car door) and I inflicted the second ding, with a Rubbermaid trash can..... Like suggested above, just get a PDR dude to tap it out and move on to enjoy your new car .... humfrz |

Thanks crew. I just had to vent. This is the first brand new car I've bought since 1997 and I just really wanted to enjoy it on that new honeymoon phase. I usually buy 2 year old cars with under 30K miles so I don't worry about minor dings and such. But I just had to go get this one new. I do love it.
