For some reason I imagined the scene in Jurassic Park where they see the dinosaurs for the first time.

i ordered 17 days ago and its so tough. whats worse is that now my friends and coworkers are the ones constantly reminding me of it... ill have my mind off it, only to have them ask about it, then i get that wave of excitement again...

every time i get in my current daily 01 crv, with its mushy, body roll, heavy suspension and cheap-feeling sofa seats i just sigh

but ive been working on my 09 impreza, getting it in nice shape for sale, so that is a good distraction

You're lucky. I ordered mine January 7th. On January 9th I got an email from Subaru of America thanking me for my order and giving me an expected delivery date of "last week of April"!!!!

And no, it wasn't a yellow. Just a limited (in "arrest me" red) with the performance package.

So, enjoy your February date, it could be worse.

Dave

Hopefully found something to divert my attention for a while. The wife and I started working out again (lifting weights) and cutting back a bit. In the very least the car will go faster.

First workout in years btw. Feel like vomiting. Hurry for muscles! Probably gonna feel this tomorrow.

Yeah me too.... Not with this car as there was none to be found. Only one that I found and was actually in stock was a black one and as sexy as black looks I will never own a black car

Yes, that's usually how I would do it as well. I do get what you are saying. The problem is that no one has this car in a 250 mile radius and the only option was to drive far out of state and purchase a car without the PP or the colors I wanted. Getting to that car and feeling like that was my only option would have made negotiating in their favor as well.

So I might have gotten the car I didn't want for the price I didn't want to pay.

Take the price point with a grain of salt though, I'm still not sure exactly what my OTD price will be yet. Looking around at other prices (even through TrueCar) tells me it's gonna in the ballpark of 30k+.

I didn't have to place a deposit, and the order shows as sold to me.
