We tried contacting carsmo via email expressing our interest to help bring it back to the community, but no response from carsmo. We believe they are out of business already. No other form of contact numbers listed.


Again we are here to gauge interest from the community. Estimated cost would not be greater than $120. Let us know what you think.

Do you have a website or anything with examples of your work? Even yelp or other types of places where people have posted stuff they've gotten from you.

For me it's a possibility but I'd want to know more first.

I think if you could hit that $99 mark you'd get some real interest, but that's just me.

edit: or for $120 and not having to drill into my car. I think that's the real preference.

$99 price range would be a possibility with a group buy.

First armrest should be ready in about 2 weeks.

Received the Runabout shift knob today, I'm really impressed with the quality. The leather feels good, stitching is clean, and it fits my hand well. The weight of the knob (350g) allows smooth shifts. When the knob is fully tightened though, the reverse lockout can't come up enough to go into reverse. If I loosen it a few turns, the lockout works. @Superklasse responded quickly to my email and is sending me an adapter to try.

It sure beats the factory armrest. It wasn't obvious initially that this is what it was.

Ideally if i had the skills, i would experiment with a thin design, as wide as the parking break, and it would slide on the long slot next to the 2 cup holder holes.

I finally replaced factory armrest with a home made one.

Bought a pre-stitched leader armrest cover for a wrx or something from ebay. It comes with the top and side pieces stitched for $20+

The bottom leather I found on a discarded chair on the street.
