The strangest thing -- received free Subaru merch

So something weird happened to me one day last week...

I work in downtown Cincinnati. I park in a large parking garage that gets pretty full everyday. I have been parking my 2017 BRZ in this parking garage every day since I bought it new in November of 2017.

So last Wednesday evening after work, I walk to my car & notice what I thought was a bag of trash sitting in my parking spot -- right next to my driver-side door. Upon getting closer to it I see that it is one of those re-usable shopping bags with the Subaru emblem on it. So I open it up & it has Subaru's most recent copy of 'drive' magazine, and a bunch of Subaru merchandise. It was nothing terribly expensive or anything...just a nice little Subaru cup, some USB cords, Subaru bug repellent, Subaru hand sanitizer, some sort of little light, and a few other things I can't remember at the moment.

It was definitely a pleasant little surprise. I much appreciated it. But...I wonder who would do such a thing! Have any of you ever had this experience? Are there Subaru representatives that just sort of roam around & randomly leave things like this for people who own Subarus?

Subaru ambassador probably. Never heard of them leaving much more than a card without a conversation though.

Yeah, like 1/3 of the people in our local group are Subaru Ambassadors, lol. They leave bags full of merchandise on other folks' Subies all the time.

It's from a Subaru Ambassador, but it wasn't me.

You should look up the Cincinnati FRS/BRZ page though. There are a few of us around town that do cars and coffee and go karting occasionally.

Well it was definitely a pretty neat thing. Just one of those very unexpected small things that happens that just brightens your day a little bit.

Pretty cool!

Many of the locals in our Subaru group are Subaru Ambassadors. The leave nice stuff for folks, usually in a bag hanging from their mirror. Typically they'll be a photo with a spotted message in the FB group so if you check there, you'll probably find your car

That's pretty neat! Do FRS owners get the special "Subie Ambassador" treatment too?

Scion ambassadors all work at McDonalds now and had to move back in with their parents. So no goodies for us any more.
