I DD the 86 and never need the back seat, and rarely need all the interior space. The most use I get out of the car is transporting a full set of wheels. I want to DD a two-seater haha so I'm not concerned about space at this time.

The TT is dying because nobody wants it. Resale will be horrible, if that matters. If I were in the market for a 2 seater in that price range, I'd wait for the new Vette. Audis are totally unreliable out of warranty. Probably not so bad in warranty. The big maintenance repairs require a massive amount of expense. Quote:

There's also the Supra and BMW twins. Since this thread was originally posted, we bought a Ram 1500 and a Jaguar I-Pace. We turned in our Chevy Spark EV earlier this year. I've kept the FRS. Actually, I've driven it a lot recently. Partly because it's fun, and partly because I want to put miles on it while it's in that supposed warranty after the valve spring repair. So far it runs great. Even had the kids in the back once. They did not like. They're bigger than they used to. Now that somebody FINALLY released a steering wheel extension, I plan on keeping the FRS indefinitely. Will probably get another EV. Thinking M3P. Sell the Forester. Maybe sell the RAM. Maybe not. Do you have a girlfriend/wife? Looking for one? Then I can make other car suggestions that'll get you attention.

At present, I am single, and have no real plans to change that in the foreseeable future. I'm a loner and a hermit, and I tend to view relationships as compromises so you could say my outlook isn't great haha

The I5 is incredibly stout. It's everything around it that would give me pause.

My friend whose attitude was much like that was married like 2 years later. He bought a new Land Cruiser then moved to China a year later. A year after that, he's married and probably won't be leaving China anytime soon. I guess his parents are enjoying the LC. See, he found a gal who likes to build Lego sets, too. So you never know what you're gonna find.

I knew a guy that had similar views. He said "NEVER" to a relationship and kids. ( And I believed him!!!! ) Now he has both. My advice to anyone that is wanting to buy something on the edge (or totally over their budget) is to ponder if they will still be infatuated with the item (car, toy, etc...) in a year? Or will they have some new thing they want? Something to think about. Additionally, TT's are shit. Though some are 5x100 and their wheels swap onto the twins. 17x7.5 +32 fits nice! Nevermore, have you driven a S2000? Specifically an ap1. They are faster and more powerful than a twin. (some TT's too!) Their 9K redline is amazing! And, 96db stock! Wow! Really, they are a street legal track car. Though, the TT-RS puts down solid numbers on paper, but they are rare and costly...
