Where do you guys buy tires locally?

As much as I love using Tire Rack, it seems silly to pay $70 for shipping when I can get tires locally. Which shops do you guys get your tires at for extreme performance summer tires. Specifically looking at the Hankook RS3. Love my Michelin PSS but it's time for a change!

You pay shipping but save tax so it almost balances out. Plus you generally get them next day which is nice. Besides, RS3 are on clearance at TR right now. Got 245/40-17 for $580 shipped last week.

(Warning: Spammy type post ahead but I get a referral bonus too and my Paypal Credit balance is kinda high atm lol)

And I don't know how much you shop on line but cash back things help too. I use the Ebates app and you get 3-6% back from TireRack. Use my link to sign up and get an extra $10 back too

Ha! Nice self promotion, prez.

Don't get me wrong, I love the shopping experience on TR, but I also want to support local businesses.

My PSS still have some life left on them so it may be a few months before I decide to pull the trigger on the RS3. Just doing some research in the mean time. It's always good to know which shops are reputable around here!

Understandable.

Just FYI the RS3 is on sale cuz it's being replaced by the RS4 in March so they will get harder to source the more time goes. Especially in popular sizes as people buy them up on clearance for track season. So maybe order them sooner then later just to be safe.

My Local Subaru dealer's website has a "Tire Store" spot that really is just the front end for The Tire Rack. So I basically get tire rack prices and they charge me the install. I've been getting all my tires there lately it's turning out to be a pretty good deal or at least reasonable. My dealer usually has some discount coupon deal going on for parts that they let me use too.

I like it because I can do research on the Tire Rack then go to their website and print out a quote they will honor. Check your dealer they may have the same setup.
