I would like to see you test the KW setup... my reasoning being that I know you are already gonna be running JR on some of your cars so getting a KW kit for the new car will provide a nice comparison between the two Rotrex kits.

I have hours of data logged from track on Vortech. Almost 2 hours straight in a single day running the tank dry both times. FT86Speed has plenty of track time on their Vortech but never posted logs. Gem has tons of track time on the Vortech. I think by far its the most track tested on this site.

There is too much press on the Innovate kit and its a glorified re badged import kit with piss poor transparency at launch from Innovate. It's not a track ready kit out of the box non-intercooled. And even inter cooled there are plenty of questions left unanswered.

The Kraftwerks kit is by far the most interesting due to the secondary drive belt design, quality piping solution and external oil supply for rotrex. The intercooler mounting seems excellent as well. Great intake system as well but questionable bracket near oil filter limiting oil cooler options. It's track ready out of the box. This is the one I would test, if given a sample.

The Jackson Kit would be a high second as it is very Vortech like and track ready. The blow through MAF will make tuning even better.

Sounds like you're making an argument FOR CSG to go with the Innovate in this situation. They're looking to see which kit we want to see them test. Being that the innovate has so many "unanswered questions", one would think that there would be plenty of content and just as much interest in seeing the results.....no?

A few questions...

1. What do you guys want to run? For some reason this is interesting for me to know and would say a lot.
2. I would be curious which vendor would be confident enough to loan you guys a kit for free. A vendor who believes in their product should have no problem with this.

There are a lot of votes for the Innovate kit. I struggled a lot with my PD blower on my other car but after a long journey I was able to make it track worthy. If you guys go this route, kindly entertain my proposal.
a. Run the stock Stage 1 kit (with no cooling)
b. Use a water injection system and see how well that works
c. Get the Stage 2 intercooled kit and compare that to the water injection system

That would be my preference Good luck guys! Stay coooooool out there!

No matter what kit(s) we test, I'd prefer NOT to lose more engines.

I think we hold the record for the most engine replacements too... (not sure this is something we should be proud of).

I'm sure any manufacturer would do that in exchange for a glowing review, but our intent is to point out all of the good AND the bad, as well as expose flaws and weaknesses... (which I hope there aren't... I don't want to be held responsible for more dead engines...)

When do the polls close and how soon thereafter will you have the Innovate
kit in your hands? Over/under 2 hours?

Iirc the bosses said that they'd wait for the CARB paperwork to finish if they go Innovate.

Care to share how many engines and the cause of failure?

That's the thing. I think you guys would do a factual review. Which is probably why Consumer Reports buys their own vehicles.

Is there a thread about this? I'd like more information.
