Wipe the back side of the SC pulley. I bet it has a thin grimy film. The exhaust just looks like it has some shit cooked on it.

The compressor section is supposed to be isolated from the gearbox. I don't think the gearbox is vented but I'm not sure how that works. I only have experience with Sprintex units. If you can remove the filler cap and cover it with your finger while it's running, you can check for positive pressure. There should be none. If there is, one or both of the rotor shaft seals is blown, if there is none then, meh. Unless there's a noisy bearing, change the input shaft seal when you get annoyed with cleaning stuff.
