HA! They called no one, if you hear it it's loud enough, you're the customer, there's a TSB for the pump, you're eligible, you're in the right. let Toyota know how you were treated.

Mine started chirping again, so I'm taking it to Toyota tomorrow for the TSB. They better not give me any crap this time either. I swear my local dealership will do anything to weasel out of doing warranty work.

don't the dealers make money from Toyota to do warranty work.. why would they try to avoid it? I'm genuinely curious...

I believe they get paid for the hours they put in but not at the full customer rate so it could potentially be a losing prospect. Good dealers do it because they genuinely care, or pretend to care, about their customers. My dealer had no problems doing the work they needed audio proof is all they needed. I suspect larger dealers with multiple brand dealerships, like Ford, Chevy Nissan etc. in their network they need to keep up with that customer satisfaction at all costs.

I took it in this morning and the guy at Toyota told me the new pump doesn't fix the problem. He said they just installed one yesterday and it still chirped. I don't know what to think anymore.

So, if your pump is making noise they should replace it. What was his evidence? I call BS on this. Go to another dealer and/or call Toyota.

I've only had it for about 300 miles, but the new pump stopped the chirping in my brz. The tech said he thought he still heard it, but listening to it now, it just sounds like a normal engine.

I'm going to take it to a different dealership on Saturday to get a second opinion. I'm at 59,500 miles now, so it's getting down to the wire.

Just scheduled my visit at Manchester, NH Subaru.
Despite the fact that I have a video recording, they want to drive it themselves to verify. My worry is that they will drive for 10 minutes and not hear anything. I hope they have new fuel pumps on hand so I don't have to go twice.
I will report back!

Well... if they just installed one and it chirps immediately, that's a red flag. Usually it takes a few miles for it to come back. Even for the revision 2 pump. Sounds like BS to me.

Yeah, I was thinking the same thing. I'm done going to that dealership. The only reason I went there is because they're within walking distance of my job.

3-400 miles on my new pump, with hot and cold days, same fuel as usual, no chirps as of yet. I have to keep reminding myself to listen for them!

Well you hear it, it's heard fully warmed up in warm to hot air temps at idle. There really is no need to drive it around. It only happens at idle.
