Yes, the threads were very nice and orderly and it was extremely easy to read. All 4 of the people that stuck around there had great on topic conversations all the time. Right up to the point that the forum died and eventually disappeared from the net completely and I never even knew that could happen.
As I have said many a time, if a topic is strong enough it will survive a derailment. If it can't it was probably doomed anyway. Just look through the tech threads that are usually hands off for derailment and see how many bad questions get 2 or 3 responses and then just die.
I would've left this forum after a month if that was the case here. Glad the mods are lax (up to a point, of course.)

The Mods here are not even remotely lax. Just overwhelmed a bit. It is such an active forum that they can not even remotely hope to cover it all with so few of them. They need us to back them up by reporting things so they can address them. I report a shitload and probably about 95% of it gets dealt with in a reasonable time. The other 5% they probably checked and didn't agree with my assessment so left it alone and I have to respect that as well.
