Tale of my BRZ ... one road trip at a time!!

Hi all... just wanted to introduce my car and her progress since taking delivery of her roughly 4 months ago. Bought her in Denver CO (simply because I wanted to do a road trip) and brought her home with 4400 miles in one week. This is by far the best road trip I’ve ever taken and I couldn’t ask for a better car to do it with. So here are details....

- picked up in Denver CO
- drove to Pikes peak
- drove through Colorado through Breckinridge and danced with the Colorado river on the way to Utah
- reached Salt Lake City and enjoyed the beautiful downtown area
- drove to the Bonneville Salt flats the next day and it was breath taking
- eventually reached Reno and continued to Lake Tahoe.. it was possibly one of the highlights of the trip especially the drive around Emerald bay
- finally reached San Francisco and ended up checking out the night life out there.
- next day it was a day trip in downtown SFO, checking out Mrs.Doubtfire’s house, Alcatraz, drove down Lombard street and headed down US1 towards LA
- after an amazing drive down US1, reached Neptune’s Net around 11pm and continued to stay near Disney for the night.
- next day BRZ got her first oil change courtesy of Subaru.
- stayed in LA and checked out all the Fast&Furious spots along with driving to Hollywood hills, Jay leno’s Garage, Rodeo drive etc.
- headed out early next day towards Vegas and wanted to get in the canyons before but due to road closures we skipped that.
- checked into Luxor (won’t recommend this place) and rented a Z06 to see if we can champion it down the spring mountain track but we were not allowed to so we ended having fun in a different manner with the car.
- stayed another day in Vegas and set out towards Monument valley the next day.
- reaches monument valley the next day evening and continued to the 4 corners.
- this was the night we didn’t stay in a hotel and kept driving.
- drove through Albuquerque, El Paso, San Antonio and Ultimately got to my home town of Houston 8 days after purchasing the car and with 4400 miles.

Car got to see the highest of the peak in the lower 48, the Pacific Ocean, snow, Death Valley heat, rain and anything else you can think of. She did amazingly well and returned an awesome 32mpg all through this.

Two months after purchasing the car I set out to FL in the car to visit family and this added another 2k miles. At this point she has been coast to coast and to the highest peak in the lower 48. One of my best vehicle purchase ever!!!

Here are the mods I’ve done to her so far...
1) Titan7 T-S5 wheels (18x9.5 +40 offset)
2) Falken FK510s in 255/35
3) Tein Flex Z coilovers
4) SPC LCA
5) SPC Toe Arms
6) OEM STI lip kit all around
7) OEM center console

At the moment she sits with almost 10k in just four months.

Trip was so awesome that every time I look at I pics I get depressed and want to re-live it.. I told myself this.. I’d never buy a car local ever again and will always do something along these lines before reaching home.
