Dear fellow forum members,

I purchased my LHD ones on Amazon.

They fit well. Rare ones aren't perfect, but then again no one ever wants to sit in the back.

Is there any difference between the 3D MAXpider and the Aries 3D mats or do they both come out of the same Chinese factory?

My review of these mats. Just got mine... Fits just fine. Looks great. I like the look better than the pattern on the weather tech mats.

I had an issue though with my shoe/foot placement and these mats. The lip at the edges of the mat, while nice looking, pushed my foot over to the left just enough to make it uncomfortable on my knee when I'm on the gas (normally the edge of my heel is up against the edge of the footwell). So, took a blade to the edge and sliced off that damn edge...

Much much better now... We don't have snow where I'm at and no drinks allowed in the car so no need for major liquid puddling/spillage protection from that raised edge.

Next thing I might do is slice the part covering the dead pedal. I can see the half covered dead pedal with my seat position and it kinda bugs me. But I'll wait and see if I get used to it and it stops bugging me.

I'll be installing mine this weekend. Received em this week, looks to be in perfect condition even though Amazon marked it as "Used - Good"

The box was beat to hell with holes all over it, but the mats themselves were untouched. $69

@Pointmutation I wouldn't remove the bit over the dead pedal, I feel like a lot of dirt from your foot will just drip down and pool under the mat (when your foot is wet anyway). Also, any ideas on removing the 3D emblem? I noticed they're riveted on.

I wanna remove them somehow and then cover the leftover holes with a Subaru emblem (like the ones sold for the weather tech mats) or something.

Those just pop right off and the hole left behind is unnoticeable and seemed to close right back up. I just went and looked at mine and can't even see where they were to begin with.
No need to put anything back in it's place to cover the holes. You'll see when you remove them.

Ooh you sir are right. I just tried it. I was too nervous to really use force to rip em off in the beginning.

But I took some pliers to the rivets on the back and just ripped them off. The holes left behind are tiny and probably wont be noticable.

Will post pics tomorrow once I install em.

My 6 month review of the mats...

So far these mats are doing their job and protecting the car from the elements (which, where I live, is only rain, dirt, and sand. Lol). Now that I've had these mats for 6 months now, here are some wear and tear shots. This car is my DDer.

Basically the rubber contours are being flattened by my heels with more flattening from the heel of my clutch foot. And it looks like my heel placement for the gas pedal is causing the corner of the extra rubber layer to peel up. Anyway, I'll be adding a metal heel plate on top of the map to remedy this wearing down situation of the floor mat.

Old thread, but lucked out on a great deal!

Have been looking at mats for awhile now to update the very average OEM mats that came with my 16 FRS. I saw everyone talking about these 3D Maxpider mats, but I was worried they might be long gone since the thread was so old. Checking out amazon, I found the front mats for $86, but it would take 3-5 weeks to get it. No big deal, but I figured I would just google the mats and see what I come up with. By some super lucky chance, Walmart had the front AND rear mats for $86 (not a typo) and would be delivered within a week here to HI. Last one in stock. Just thought I would share the great steal I came by! Looking forward to getting the mats in the car!

Here's mine after about 2 and a half years and ~37000 miles. Still holding up pretty great. Not looking as shabby as @Pointmutation's, though I got the carpet ones so maybe they hold up better? Anyway I've been super happy with them. The OEM ones looked like garbage after like 2000 miles. And I keep my car/interior pretty dang clean so it's not like it was from lack of care hah. I also ended up picking mine up for ~$90 shipped front and back. Pretty sweet deal.
