Toyota of Dallas FRS Unveil with Guff, CarbonBlue, 5hairpins, and Juanito(Pic heavy)

Just a couple photo's i had snapped. Met up with guff and his friends. carbonblue had showed up as well shortly after followed by 5hairpins and last but not least juanito! We all started cheering his name
and he was looking at all of like who the hell are you people, 90% sure we creeped him the hell out

I know guff had snapped some photos as well so be expecting those.

(Initial impressions, and i know im probably beating a deadhorse and repeating alot of what others have said.... but why not lol)

Finally seeing this car in person, i really know what people mean by pictures just cant do this car justice. Its simple, they really cant. Initially i noticed that car was really small, much smaller than expected.
The design itself strikes you with presence, it truly gives you (or atleast me anyway) that 90's sports car vibe.
I wasnt to bothered after seeing the projectors in person but juanito's HID bulbs werent too bad either. The wheel gap, is definitely notable and personally i would do larger tires... to drop that car, i couldnt imagine it...

Seeing the engine bay was also pretty astonishing me and another one of Guff's friends just couldnt get over how low that engine really sits.
Its incredible, and the amount of room in the engine bay itself is just screaming for some AEM goodness!

As for sitting in the car itself, i was a little bothered.
The seats were comfortable, but this car sits pretty low. To me, it felt like it sat lotus kind of low.
It gives you that go-kart feel and paired together with the cabin sound i can see why alot of people think this car is so much fun.
Now the problem i have with the seating was possibly because i didnt adjust the seats or the steering wheel but i had a hard time looking over the dash (5'6)
Like I said i probably should have adjusted the seat and wheel better but it was a customers car so i didnt want to fiddle with it too much.
Interior parts werent all that bad but not luxury material which is understandable as this is made to be a cheaper enjoyable car.
Also, that little clip on the seats has to go, its just begging to be ripped off.
Backseats? forget about it, me being as little and skinny as i am. I think even i would have a problem being squished back there for too long. Obviously, its for insurance purposes. Backseats down is how i plan to keep this car.

Now, the gearbox..... deserves an award in itself.
So crisp, so precise, so PHENOMENAL !
I cant put it into words, it shifted so nicely with little play whatsoever.
Not to mention short, such small effort is made when shifting that car and playing with it i can see how thats another fun factor toyobaru threw in there.

All in all, im very impressed. I was even blown away by hater orange and how much it actually pops.
Seeing orange and the way it shines, i can imagine blue being a amazing color to look at in person.
And as for white, i dont think people have to worry about the pearl. It looks like a natural white altogether and the pearl doesnt really stick out as much as it does in the pictures.
Ofcourse when paired next to a lexus or evo x type of white, you would notice the difference but by itself... not at all

Btw we never found out if the guy who owned the AE86 was the forum member who promised to show up....
to this day, it remains a mystery...

it was fun and im glad i finally got to meet all of you!

Ideal time would be between January or march. If i get ancy i might just buy it sooner. Im going to shop around for a DGM BRZ limited MT, if no dice, i'll fall back on a Asphalt or Marine FRS MT. But getting it this year for sure.

So we roll in and they have this huge Skate-Ramp set up. Because Scion is all about the young, hip crowd. And all young, hip people skate! Right?

What's this little thing hiding away in the Showroom?

What color is it? Hmmmmm....

Back outside (this is still before the event started), a man with a Lotus pulled up!

What's that? AWWW YEAHHH, I get to park the Supra inside the event area! Feelin' so BAWS! (Special appearance by Exhaust and my buddies Zain and Ammar)

Teachin' the kids good values.

Well, well, look who decides to show up! It's Juanito in his Whiteout FRS!

Wait, another one? Yup! It's 5hairpins in his DAT-ASSphalt FRS!

His beautiful hair flowing in the breeze...

DGM is nice!

Officers of the Law were taking pictures!

Probably writing my LP down for later ticketing...

Some guy showed up in an R8 GT. To a Scion event!

Disregard the blatant photobomb.

Manual... Mmmmmmm....

Juanito chatting it up with some official looking dude...

Exhaust, lookin' all fly!!

Intake/TB of Juanito's car.

That beautiful Oil Filter!

Another shot of Danny's Hot Lava

The key slot lights up!!

Lights don't look bad!

Now for Daddy Corolla!

DAT ITBs!

Thunder!

Looks pretty race ready!

Another Hachiroku!

Primer is the best color!

Back to Juanito's car! You can really see that pearl under street lights!

Custom Speaker Setup!

More of that beautiful paint!

Looks almost Argento here!

Back to Danny's car! The salesman was moving it to the front so Danny could get his paperwork settled and drive it off!

Up at the front we chilled for a bit and waited for Danny to come out so we could harass him!

OH SNAP! Who's this? Why it's Myself, then Exhaust, then carbonBLUE! TOP GEAR RIGHT HERE!!

DAT BADGE!

The sticker!

Dealers take note: NO MARKUP! THIS IS HOW YOU TREAT A CUSTOMER!

I managed to pull the Supe next to it and snap a few pics!

A few more shots of this beautiful car!

There's Danny himself basking in the lights of the FRS!

And off he went! Ready to experience all that is the Zx6!

Byeee!!!

I wanna conclude by saying that this event was AMAZING! I had a lot of fun and got to meet a lot of cool people, including people on the forums!

Toyota of Dallas is pretty awesome and the owner of the dealership is a really chill guy! I definitely recommend doing business with them if you are in the area!
