I'm assuming it'd be for the turbo already on it - it's designed for an engine that sits 4 inches higher, and the turbo exhausts exits to the other side of the car than the BRZ/FR-S exhaust. Plus numerous other differences...

Actually - no. rods/bearings are the same part numbers as the fa20 non-turbo, I believe.

The pistons are better in the FA20T (lower comp.) and obviously the heads and the entire DI system is superior to the D4-S junk on our cars.

This think this will become a popular swap with the right header and charge pipe.

Have you got any proof the head is better?

Read carefully, remember that DI is incorporated into the head. Also the cam profiles are different (setup for FI), the combustion chamber different (for the different pistons.) All add up to a superior engine than a slap on aftermarket turbo'd FA20.

The new turbo FA features Subaru’s own direct-injection setup, as opposed (boxer-engine pun intended) to the BRZ’s Toyota-derived direct- and port-injection heads

So wrong my friend.

Larger combustion camber yield more stratospheric pressure which always results in more power.

Although the DI system seems to have a glitch in it now, it is actually quite intelligent and can be a huge advantage when perfected.

I honestly don't understand why, out of all these companies, has no one made higher temp DI seals.

P.S.

I'd love to see fa20-t make 300whp on only 7psi on a very small frame turbo.

The worst part is when he is called on the BS and doesn't even acknowledge it was wrong.

The cam profile setup is for FI? How so? Looks more like it's setup for a nice family car or truck.
