Is the Belt Parkway too much for the BRZ??

Took my week old BRZ on its first trip yesterday to visit up on LI.

I thought that the Belt Parkway was going to tear my BRZ apart!! That road gets worse every time I am on it but all the imperfections of the road were really apparent in the BRZ.

I swear that at one point the rear suspension bottomed out.

Have others had problems with their BRZ/FRS's suspension on this road???

LOL welcome to New York where all of our roads suck ass!

But yeah, sports cars make you feel every crack on the road. The BRZ, especially, transmits every one to my spine. My wife has the same issue with her Gen Coupe.

It feels that way sometimes, yeah. I encountered that on the Northern Parkway around Melville where they have some construction going. Thought I bent a wheel, but it was fine.

Going east in the area where they have been working on the bridge/road and have solid white lines with very narrow lanes. There was what almost looked like a speed bump that I hit at 50 mph!

Sometimes I give thanks that I don't live in the city. Had to drive in it once, never again.

My left rear suspension clunks over certain road imperfections, common enough I hear it everyday. Not sure what it is but it's only left rear. Maybe one day I'll care enough to let the dealer touch my car. Otherwise just slow down you don't want to scratch up underneath

well said

You only get beat up if you're doing over 30mph on the belt. which is only like 10% of any given day

Anyone else notice the giant boat in the marsh right next to the road? Obviously sandy leftovers. Makes you realize that the belt was totally flooded out at the worst of it
