Having had one of these, do you like the sound? Obviously, that's not the most important factor... and I want to like them, but every time I hear one I wonder if I could deal with the squirrelly sound.

My question is will it clean up the torque dip. I guess we will have to wait for SEMA for hard numbers.

vortech makes quality parts, and their kits perform well on domestic vehicles. I like the sound of their SC ktis, but I prefer the overall performance/sound of a turbo. |

Thanks for the reply! I'm really leaning towards supercharging on this car and I know Vortech is of oem quality. I've had roots blowers on two different cars in the past and really loved the whine from them. I don't know anyone with a vortech SC, so I haven't heard one up close. Seems to have a fluctuating whistle at idle on most videos that I'm not sure I'd like. Would you say it's a sound that's better in person?

the sound is definately better in person. I can tell you that I do prefer the sound of a kenne bell or whipple charger more (TVS units are nice also). I wouldn't place my money down on a kit, based on sound alone. I would buy based on the way I would plan to use the power.
