Just installed my c30kit with a delicious tuning map ... did 3 third gear pulls to log for them and on the third one while slowing down the car cut off started right back up then died again unless I stayed in the gas...idle was going from like 2500-3000 up and down. Let it sit for a while and turned it on again but stalled a few times but eventually started and idled kind of rough at 1000..little rev to 3000 no problem but then the idle stayed at 2500 won't dro..anyone have similar issue?

Might want to send him your log and have him look at the tune.

doesn't seem right to me. could be a number of different things, I, too would recommend calling them and telling them the scenario. Do you have a AFR gauge what does it say when it's idling? What does it say at WOT? And what does your boost read when you get into the higher RPMS? That will tell you if you have a leak or not if it's not holding boost. These are just the basics.

Otherwise what this sounds like is you may have popped the hose off the evap line... that happened to me on track and the car was driving similar to yours very rough and I would have to gas it to keep it alive. OR you hit boost and popped one of your intercooler piping hoses... I'd check that also.

I bought mine used. I saved approx $1500 by doing so. I did the install myself. I had to replace/ purchase some hardware, the MAP sensor, Rotrex oil, and ECUTek license that weren't included. I also has to fabricate some brackets that weren't included. So, if you buy used I'd make sure all the stuff comes with it or you make sure you know how to fabricate and know screw sizes/ material type/ material hardness. Honestly, I wouldn't recommend doing the install if you're a novice. You must have decent mechanical ability and know your way around the engine bay of the car. Buying used is a great option if the person you're buying from took care of the kit and you know how to install or know people that can.

I got the pulley and belt off after pulling the main bracket off its mounts. Looks like I'll have to reflash back for a while until I can get a new pulley, no damage to s/c at least.
This just happened to me today while driving. I thought a hose popped off because of the pressure dispersal sound, but after inspecting the pulley was leaning against the compressor. Taking it apart right now.

Output shaft broke. Factory 30T-75 pulley on a C38. =( Its been almost exactly 3 years since install.

I would never buy that thing again after my first mistake of buying it. There's no way that thing will hold any type of oil from leaking. I had to custom make an oil cooler with stacking spacers together. Pain in the ass.

does anyone get a whooshing sound when in partial throttle in boost? i assume its the "blow off" releasing pressure but i just want to make sure its not a loose hose. It cuts off when fully on the gas and in boost. apologies in advance for the dumb question
