Getting Michelin Premier A/S today.

The next 7 days is suppose to be bad here in northeast Ohio. I've read a lot of good reviews about the tires.

Note: I am posting the Michelin Premier a/s and actually giving it a try this winter season in ohio to see how good it is. I saw another thread about michelin pilot sport a/s and the result from other frs/brz owners are good. Hoping this might open another door to those owners who wants a good all season tires. If its bad i'll keep you guys updated.

so this facebook status update of a post, does it mean you are trading the car in if you get bad weather and ALL SEASON tires cannot handle it?

If you live in an area with cold temperatures and snow, don't mess around with all season (no season) tires... get proper winter tires and be done with it.

Im in Ohio. I got the michelin premier because of its reviews. Read stuff about michelin pilot sport that other frs users use during winter and the premier is suppose to be better. I will find out more about the tire this week.

Can't wait to see "so this happened today" or "totaled or no totaled?" post when the all season tires fail. I have all seasons on my suv right now and it just went straight instead of turning today. Almost hit a curve and shit my pants. Changing it to winter tires tomorrow.

We are going to find out. The thing why I posted the michelin premier is that other guys use a michelin pilot sport a/s all year even with snow the results are good so maybe me giving the michelin premier a/s a shot during ohio winter might open another option for all other frs/brz users because the review on tirerack is good. We just need somebody to try it out.

Good luck getting around with all season tires on snow... with a light car. I did once, never doing it again. Bought winter set for this season.

It sure is fun sliding around, but no grip = hello to other objects.

The review on Michelin premier at tirerack is pretty good even the ratings.

What I meant was someone with frs/brz probably use premier tires but I haven't seen any reviews. Thats why I posted mine here.

I posted it here just because other frs/brz are looking for all season tires that are decent in snow. So far the tires are holding up pretty good. Otherwise i'll be posting pictures of my frs against the wall. If that happens then that way other owners would avoid the premier. Its that simple.

If it's just light snow, a/s will be ok. The problem is when the snow melts and turns into ice. Since the a/s tread is less pliable when the temp drops and has less surface area than a designated winter tires, your traction will be significantly lower. With the sporadic weather we're getting in the Midwest, you're not just going get snow. Best of luck.
