$1500 budget coilover - what would you choose?
So I'm sure if money were no object, we'd all be running some custom Penske or AST setup or something for like $5k, but I've set my budget for coilovers, and am looking in the $1,500 range.
My question is, in this range, $1,500 or less, what would be your choice for a dual purpose street/track car with about 15-20 track days a year? Here are some of my thoughts.... Fortune Auto 500's w/ Sprift Spring upgrade, Feal Suspension 441's, RCE Tarmac 0, or a used set of the Eibach R2s, which have seemed to be selling in that price range or less with all of the noise issues people are complaining about. |

Feal For 1350, how else can you get coilovers with Swift springs.

ST, and BC would probably be the top two. ST if you want more comfort, BC if you want a better handling ride

Has anyone used the ST coilovers on track? I'm worried about just how low the price point is on them, and holding up to track use over time, as well as how balanced they are with compression/rebound on track. |

The real answer that nobody wants to hear:
For that budget, leave it stock. You'll save money, still have a good ride, and still be faster

There have been a few fast guys that run BC and Feal. Would I buy them? Probably not. Would those guys be faster stock? Not a chance.

If you're doing 15-20 track days a year its better to invest in a good 2-way adjustable coilover.
Maybe use the money and enroll yourself in an advanced driving class or track lessons. You'd probably get more value for your money and lower lap times than most circa $1500 coilover is going to give you around a track. |

If you have some data and lap times that proves you are faster, it would be appreciated. Seat of the pants and how you feel means zip.
