Anyone currently running the C38 with HBP on 93 octane with supporting fuel mods and oil cooler? My question is how reliable is this setup? My understanding is tuning plays a big part and the rest is up to the rods.

I'm putting this out as a feeler:
Would anyone be interested in a used C30 complete JRSC CARB tuned kit? It's about 3 years old, the C30 itself is about 2 years old as it was replaced a couple years ago when the original failed. I have since over maintained the new unit and change the oil every 12 months regardless of miles. Everything would be provided to you 100% complete and in very very good condition. Fair price would be worked out if there was interest. I am debating returning the car to stock and trading it in. Private message me so we don't derail the thread here please. With good tune, you should be okay! What will the car be used for? |

I have JRSC (c30 with default pulley) installed on a stock engine (stock header, injectors, fuel pump, etc) with CARB tune. I am noticing that the CARB tune, although it is very smooth and efficient at normal temperatures, does not seem to perform well in colder weather. I can understand that hot or cold temperature can affect the performance (power) but the engine should still be smooth at least. The engine feels different on a cold day in the same week with the same gas in the tank. Is there an updated tune for JRSC that I can get? Do you think Delicious tune can help? If I order Flash & Go tune, do I need to replace the MAP sensor?

Anything worse than the NA power increase from the Ace is quite frankly impossible. I would expect the NA gains plus another 5-10 rwhp.

Whoops. I didn't have coffee yesterday. You said NA in your post twice and I still thought we were talking about a CARB vs. ACE setup. Ignore me!
The post you originally quoted was talking about stock header + JRSC vs. ACE + JRSC—which is indeed at least a 20-30hp difference. |
