Essential roadtrips.
So I found this pic, 11 essential roadtrips. Who's done what? And what else can we come up with?

Nice find! I've done parts of this map: 1) From LA to San Fran in a passat, 2) Daytona Beach to Miami on a bus

I'd like to do number 1 then go in number 10 and take southern part of 6 and end up in Key West. I love Key West.

State Road 40 in Colorado, leading into Rocky Mountain Nat'l Park. Uphill switchbacks. Did this in my 98 Civic, need to go back in the FRS. Small detour off of I-70, which is a beautiful highway to drive on.... As far as what i've done: Pacific Coast from the peninsula of Washington, the Hoh Rainforest, Seaside/Cannon Beach, OR and down, absolutely fabulous. I've driven the Blueridge parkway in the fall, its a drive you'll never forget, and the colors awesome. I90 is scenic, if you love mountains, you'll be happy here. There are places that i felt like stopping every few miles, but reminded myself that this is an interstate. The Beartooth Hwy leading into Yellowstone is also amazing as well. What can I say, actually any road i've driven out west is amazing. Last edited by iaclimber4; 04-15-2013 at 12:35 AM. |

Half of 9, 6, & 8 in our old EVO...all nice rides, wouldn't mind running them again in the BRZ. 5 has a lot of twisties through the smokies.

I've done number 5. Northern NY to Atlanta GA. Going to the tail of the dragon is a must. I'll be doing 8 to 11 in June. Can't wait to drive my bra along the Malibu coast.

On #7 - Going to the Sun Highway - amazing on whole new level.
PCH#1 - Done most all of it & it was fantastic, especially through Oregon. Driving up into Alaska is a must do as well. Be everywhere, almost. LOL |

Next month I'm doing part of #10. 60 Minutes just did a bit on Marfa, Texas and I've decided that would be a neat "get away" trip for me to take on a long week-end. I used to do something like this about once a month on my motorcycle but now I use my FR-S for my brief little holiday get-aways.

Very cool, I hadn't thought about looking up something like this. I've flown from Dallas to Miami and driven back. So I did parts of 6 and 10. I thought driving past/through the swamps was pretty cool, don't see much of that in Texas. Maybe I'm getting some inspiration.
