Te37SL Lug nuts

Hey guys,
New to the car scene. Recently picked up a pair of te37 SL in 18x9.5 and was wondering if I needed to get aftermarket lug nuts. I looked around on different forums and couldn't seem to get a solid answer. Was wondering if I could just use the stock lugs or if aftermarket ones were required.

If aftermarket ones are required which ones did you go with?

Kindest Regards
Peter K.

Try the stock lug nuts on your Te37S before buying anything. They aren't acorn shaped so they will work. The only problem is that they might be too short / there's not enough clearance for a socket to tighten them down. But if your socket fits, then stock lug nuts should be fine.

I'll just mention that I bought Muteki SR48 lug nuts for RPF1s because stock lug nuts were too short to get my wrench on them. Those lug nuts started rusting after just a month, even though my car is kept in a garage and hasn't seen any snow/salt/coast.

I use Muteki SR35 on my Rays Gram Lights 17x9, and they were affordable, have the right seat, and were a good length for the job in my case

Like others have said, the OEM ones appear to have the right 60 degree taper so you can use them in a pinch.

Any reputable aftermarket lug nut with a proper 60 degree taper should serve you fine for keeping the wheel on. However, there are other considerations to be made like open ended versus closed ended, locks, rotating seat, aluminum vs steel vs ..., among other attributes.

If you want to go the extra mile and protect your investment, Project Kics R40 Iconix with caps are a good bet. However, you'll have to shell out a decent penny for them.

If you are really in doubt about what will and will not work, you can't go wrong with Rays standard hex lug nuts (though again they are a little pricey).
