What do you mean? The Limited models and PP-BRZ's have a lot more margin from the MSRP down to the net price of the car. If you are comparing to Premium models, Premium BRZ's should be about 26k-27k MSRP, which is also the neighborhood of what a Limited-PP should be discounted down to, but Premium models have less margin to the net cost--usually about $2500. A Limited without PP is only about a $1000 difference in MSRP so that should be discounted the same way as the PP-BRZ's.

Hi, I hope it's ok for me to ask this here. I've owned a 2013 brz limited that I traded in for a sti a few years ago that I bought for 23k new. I'm in the market for another brz but with the performance package. 2 deals out in CA has quoted me $28169 plus tax, one is a wrb and the other is white. How much more can I talk them down to that would be reasonable for both me and them? Thanks in advance!

Carlsen Subaru in Redwood City was going to sell me a WRB with PP car for $26,518 ($2K below invoice). I ended up getting a Series Yellow instead, but I believe they still have that WRB car.

[edit] - just checked - they have two WRB and one silver with PP.

If you look through the thread you can get a general idea of the average pricing people have gotten. We wouldn't be able to help you with providing a number because it varies so much from dealer to dealer, and how that dealer is feeling at that time. For example, if you check the thread for the prices paid on Toyota 86 Special Editions, there was a dealer in Northern California that was offering $26,500 or so for a car marked at $31,000 MSRP for one weekend only. But most people who bought that car spent $1-2k more than that easily.

I don't think you can replicate the lowest deal recorded here (at a Texas dealer for around $26,400) in California, but I could be wrong. It all depends on your negotiation skills, willingness to walk away from the deal, their desperation to sell the car, how much interest they have gotten in that car this week/month, etc. I honestly think you can get a slightly better deal, especially from a dealer in Northern California, and it doesn't hurt you to lowball a reasonable amount.

I bought my crystal white pearl 2017 BRZ with PP from serramonte Subaru for $26,418 plus taxes/fees last week. Give it a try. They're located near SF.

Who's trying to score a deal on a MY17 or holding out for a MY18?

Also, when you guys refer to invoice or dealer cost, are you referring to Edmunds? e.g. $28,977 for a Series.Yellow

My Series yellow with popular option 3 was 27,664 + TTL. IIRC, this is $1700 below invoice. I use Edmunds to get the invoice pricing.

Model year: 2017
Bought in November of last year

Trim e.g. Premium, Limited, Series Yellow: Premium
Type of Purchase (ToP)(Lease, Finance, traded-in): Finance (Not through Subaru)
Color: WRB
Upgrades/Options e.g. Performance Package: Not sure of the package number, has the auto dim mirror and bumper applique. Honestly I didn't know it had it until a week later, when I put a deposit on the car I literally wanted bare bones, no options. Not complaining though, it's a nice feature.
Price Paid (before TTL): $24,200, my trade in covered TTL so that wasn't a concern anyways.
Dealership/Geographical Area: Huffines Subaru of Denton

Just go into the dealer with your number and stick to it. If you keep trying to time it, you'll miss out. It's like buying a computer - find the number you're comfortable with and buy it.

It is not possible to find the lowest deal in general. You will get claims that are ridiculous on here and do NOT AT ALL reflect the full deal they did or screwed up. The cost of living in an area and the distributor selling the car to the dealer on order greatly change the "good deal" "bad deal" of the deal.

ordering it form factory?
Live in an ACTUALLY expensive area?
Financing it gives a lot of profit to the place, even "outside financing" gives them instant 500-800 dollars in bonus.
Any warranty add ons or protections?
What point during the year did the forum person buy it? There is no stagnant charge for these cars, always hidden incentives between dealer and distributor and distributor and Subaru.

I agree with Tcoat that much of the severely low prices on here are questionable claims at best. I dont care about upsetting forum posters, so I will say that, I do care about people looking for price and finding questionable and not-full-story quotes on things that you will not see when you negotiate.
