New Carbon Fiber Hood
I'm getting a new carbon fiber hood should I get hood pins for it. Are they really needed?

Not at all, they should have a good latch and our hood is almost as light if not lighter than most aftermarket carbon hoods.

Most JDM tuners recommend it, my Carshop F1 carbon hood on my R33 GTR moves around at high speeds even with aero catches. So its up to you, i for sure wouldn't run one without pins.

the stock hood moves around a lot on the freeway and windy days, which scares me a lot. a CF hood would probably be the same, but not have the strength of the stock hood since I'm assuming it's a fiberglass hood with CF weave around it. I would still go with hood pins as it's a good investment. or would you rather save $200 (if you pay someone to do it) and have to pay for a new hood and a new front windscreen later on if something does go wrong? that's how I think about it.
