Basic Question Re: OEM Head Unit

I can find tons of information here about upgrading the stock system, but nothing about the stock head unit in my 2014 FR-S. I've been ripping vinyl and a bunch of CDs to USB sticks, and I'm not crazy about the limitations of MP3 format. Is there a lossless, or at least not stupidly compressed format (FLAC? WAV?) that's supported by the OEM Pioneer head unit? Or am I stuck with having car-only USB sticks in MP3?

See attached pdf for the stereo unit manual. I believe I downloaded it from Toyota via their owner's manual section at some point.

Assuming you have the same Pioneer Bespoke Touchscreen unit, starting at Pg59 describes the compatible audio formats the stereo can handle. It continues on Pg60 describing WMA format, but I assume that's deprecated by this point.

I've been using USB MP3 for some time just with plain MP3s. It's convenient, but the stereo MP3 handling definitely has some shortcomings. You might be better off just using bluetooth or the AUX input to run playback from your phone or some dedicated playback device if you care to use the existing stereo. I'm hard pressed you would notice a playback difference on the stereo system between MP3 and lossless
