Greddy kit with Garrett GT3076R turbo

Hey guys, just wanted to post some pics up of my most recent upgrades. I installed a larger bar/plate v mount intercooler, 4" cold air intake, and a brand new shiney GT3076R turbo with .86 turbine housing/90trim wheel. I was going to go for the new GTX turbo but, they are actually less efficient below 20psi and only start to flow more at higher boost.

I made well over 400rwhp on the Greddy turbo and intercooler. This new turbo boosts just as fast and recovers boost instantly between shifts. The power difference is night and day. It shifted my torque curve just enough to allow me to get better traction. The main difference is IAT temps are drastically lower.

I started upgrading with the intercooler which lowered temps, a good bit and recovered from heat soak MUCH faster. The cold air intake helped even more. I just added the turbo this week and the temps are down even closer to ambient under boost and like I mentioned before power is way up. No need to wait for Greddy to decide to bring a garrett upgrade option to the market. It can be done. The clearances are VERY tight, but there is enough to sandwich this bad boy in there.

Yep, Greddy uses the bigger 10cm housing so I went with the larger 90 trim wheel and .86 housing on the garrett.

Nice.
Can we see pictures of the intercooler setup and cold air intake?

Wait is this the real greddy or the Sbd kit? Because Sbd has it on their facebook page?

This started as a GReddy, of course SBD will knock it off.

Even if Greddy did bring it to market I would still buy it from SBD. Chris is the most trustworthy vendor I've found for this platform so far...

It was originally a greddy kit. My greddy kit with a t518z seemed to make more power than what I've seen of the sbd kits. I made 406rwhp on one of the new dynojet loading dynos.

You can't bench raise dyno numbers, as every dyno reads differently.

Take the car to the drag strip or gather some vbox data, then we can draw comparisons.

The sbd kit looks exactly like the greddy kit. Its almost an exact copy. They use the smaller tube and fin ic that is off center towards the drivers side and the same style intake. This kit was originally greddy but it is now quite different from the greddy kit and its copy.

I made over 400rwhp on 3 different dynos. Wouldn't be a fair comparison now as my setup has changed and will make more power than I did with the t518z. Ive also heard this from a few well known tuners.

If it makes it any better, im not aware of any other greddy kits making that much either.
