Here is a shot in sunlight, unlit. Keep in mind, the real STi (WRX) throughout the years always had the cluster permanently back lit in red. We've made adjustments to the material to make sure it would show up as good as it possibly can while staying true to the STi. To illustrate the point, see the bottom picture of a OEM STi cluster on the WRX.
Fair enough, now that I know... I just watched some videos of the FR-S doing a sweep up to 7,000 RPM. That's still 1,000 RPM more. Weird...

I believe it sweeps up too where you have the shift indicator set.

I don't think so... Because mine goes the full dial and I didn't set it that high.

On the FRS, it sweeps to whatever the shift point is set to.

That probably explains why then! Thank you for the clarification!

I'm confused seeing different styles of the ST gauges on Instagram. Is it going to have a grey bar on the RPM's? Love them both by the way, Awesome work! Can't wait to buy one!

The production one will have a bright aluminum sheen finish for the grey bar just like the original concept by Subaru. I think it'll have a pretty unique effect when the needle glides over it.

Here are more pictures. The only difference from now on will the the matte sheen finish for the grey bar which will be redone in a high quality aluminum finish. It will reflect the light from the needle for a nice special effect at day and night time. With the grey in this pre-production piece, it just does not do it justice. Also, some pictures during daytime with cluster unlit.

Thanks for the daytime pictures! Any pictures with the daytime running light and headlights off? I want to see how it shows up in broad daylight without the aid of the backlit LED.

Ex. the stock looks like this (notice how the numbers and letters are in white for easy legibility)

Awesome work OP! Looks fantastic. So glad you are bringing this to the market. Can't believe I actually was considering paying $600 for the ts cluster and having to deal with the metric system. Can't wait for the STI version.

I really like the STI one, but I'd love a TRD version even more.
