Thank you all for your opinions and experiences! Still thinking what I should get but hopefully a good deal pops up for a Catback exhaust soon

Berk Technology Dual Exit Muffler Delete Questions

Just got mine on today and I can now hear my car!...lol. A little loud on cold start but quiets down as soon as the RPM's drop. Pretty good drone at 4k but I'm well below that cruising at 70-75mph on the freeway. Overall a quality product with great welds and the bigger tips fill up the rear valance nicely! The rest of the exhaust is stock and IMO if you change any other pipes on the car with this system would be too loud for street use. But perfect as is with the current setup...

My car only has 3000 miles and I'm having an impossible time getting the stock muffler and two 14 mm bolts off any tricks

Yea I don't have a breaker bar, but I was using pb blaster and doing it by hand and it wouldn't even budge, I'm gonna swing over a friends house today and use his impact wrench 15 minute install *with the right tools*

thanks again, I was able to do without even using pb blaster with just a breaker bar. Only for the hangers I sprayed a little pb blaster on and used the exhaust hanger removal tool I had. Actually is more of a 20-30 minute job if you ask me.

Usually does the trick. I always use WD40 for stubborn exhaust components. Another "trick" is to get the exhaust hangers soaked with soapy water, or WD40 if you're lazy and use channel locks (poor mans exhaust hanger tool). Haven't had all that much trouble, but I change stuff in my exhaust so frequently I don't think anything ever has a chance to corrode and chemically bond to each other.

I have doing a catback down to about 30 minutes depending on how motivated I am. Usually closer to 1 hour with beer or 1.5 hours with beer and perfection in mind.

It's almost kind of irritating how quickly those bolts seized up with 4000+ miles on the car

I didn't ever deal with that, I had my stock exhaust off the car within 500KM. And then 6 other exhausts followed in just over a year

My next mod is a resonated front pipe I'm probably gonna have a pain in the ass with that.

It's pretty easy, so long as you can get everything undone haha

Now that I have it fully installed, I can say this it's not that loud but does drone. For my case on cold starts I have a quiet cold start setup on my tune so thats a none issue. But it sort of does drone around 2000-3000 rpms and then smooths out the higher you go. I'm pretty sure if you added a catless front pipe without a resonator it would be dangerously, illegally loud. if someone plans to do other exhaust mods they gotta think carefully about this muffler delete.
