Hello. I'm wanting to replace the OEM rotors on my 2017 BRZ W/Brembos (326X30 F,316X20 R) to drilled and slotted rotors. I tried purchasing through Brake Performance but they wasn't much help. From what I come up with is Subaru used late 2002-200? rotors. Can anyone confirm this?
Thanks

I'd like to know the same thing. Anyone know which rotors will fit the performance package?

From what I've seen, the 2004 STI rotors are the same dimensions and bolt pattern front and rear, so I'm thinking those should work. Can anyone confirm this? I gotta find the dimensions again to check though.

Figured I'd post this up well for pad fitment.
Seems like any WRX STI pads work (04-17 for front and rear) based on Hawk PN for Ceramic Pads: HB453Z.585 (F) HB180Z.560 (R)) I found on another post for PP pad fitment. I was comparing the PN for each year on tirerack to check.

Early 2000s front rotors will work as long as they are 326X30mm. The rear however won't work. Park brake shoes are smaller I believe. I'm buying a set of aftermarket 2017 WRX STi rotors and redrilling the bolt pattern to 5X100. The BRZ and WRX STi use the same park brake shoes.

Depends on the kit, but most kits are designed to work with OEM rears.

I am looking for some advice on BBK choice, i hope this is right place to ask.

I used to participate time trials in the past so I am more or less familiar with tracking cars.

I've only had few track events with FRS, and during my last visit to Laguna Seca, stock everything with exception of W5 pads and motul 600, brake started to go soft after about 3 laps, when entering downhill turn 1 at over 100 mph, and also before last corner.

I've now added JRSC CARB and I think I need to do something about the brake that was already weak. For about $2k budget, I am looking at AP sprint and CSG spec Brembos, and keeping rear stock.

AP sprint, light weight ( biggest point i think, for i added lots weight in front with JRSC ), minimalist, it'd be ideal if not because it's a racing caliper that doesn't have dust boots. I've never had racing calipers so i have to wonder about their street-ability.

The FRS is a street car mostly with occasional track day, and am signed up for a TT this year.

CSG spec brembos: not much lighter if I understand correctly, but is a GT caliper with dust boots and much easier to live w/o frequent rebuilds.

I do have aftermarket wheels which i'll need to double check on fitments. I found out these are Wedsport TC105N replicas 17x8 42mm but I don't know if they are identical in all dimensions.

Thanks for the thoughts comments advices!

Dust boots and such will be quickly burnt off with proper track use. So do their being there or not matter much on tracked car? You also are not living in winter-salt environment. I'd vote on AP sprint or endurance. Those will let you save also on wearables. +brake airducts.

Is it possible to generate a complete list of Rotors, Calipers, Calipher attach brackets, piston sizes and various combinations that will bolt onto the stub axle front and axle rear of the series.
E.g. what Toyota and Subaru calipers inter change and what advantages.
E.g. you can use a GTS caliper bracket and 295 disc but stay with OEM GT calipers to produce a front brake bias due to piston size. Boyle’s law.
Or you can run gts all front 295 mm and different piston sizes but GT on back to change the bias to rear.
Are there various adaptior sizes to permit trial of various disc rotor sizes within the confines of various wheels sizes from 16 inch 17 inch and up.
Often brake upgrades require larger wheels but not always.
I imagine many calipers made by Toyota or Sumitomo and heap of Subaru models fit the stub axel of the 86/brz models.

I track twice a month between April and October, in Toronto. I daily drive all year round.

2cents:
A Dot4 or Dot5 brake fluid is a must.
A good set of pads goes a long way.
A set of dedicated track pads goes quite the distance.
Snow and salt will destroy a BBK set.

My experience:
Stock brakes fade after 10-15 minutes, in a sudden and scary way.
I switched to Dot4 first felt fade after 20 or so minutes but it was gradual and manageable.
Switched to stoptech street performance pads and haven't seen fade since.
I never bothered with dedicated track pads.
Added a Grimmspeed master cylinder brace for some pedal firmness and I'm very pleased with my overall brake system.

I have pushed my lapping to 30 minutes between cooldowns. I haven't experienced any brake fade yet and I'm still gradually increasing my time between cooldowns.
I need a mental break before my brakes give me trouble.

Thanks for the reply, yes I forgot to tell my setup.

I'm running on motul rbf660, and ds2500 pads + hel brake lines. It was all ok when i was NA, but now the car is supercharged. I was looking to upgrade the calipers and disc size.
