Frs brake issue.
My frs is noticeably pulling to the right under hard braking at higher speeds.
Could anyone offer opinions or ideas? This sucks. Light braking and it stays in a straight line

Check your tire pressures. Mine pulled hard to the right under acceleration when my rear right tire got a nail in it and dropped pressure pretty quick. Braking will do the same thing.

Have you been running it in the track? Check the pads and fluid.

Tire pressure is the same all around, just checked when I saw the post... I hope it's not a failing caliper... Warranty should cover that right?

Alignment? Check pads for even wear if you have the ability to do so. Otherwise, it wouldn't hurt to go to the dealer.

also check for scratches on the brake rotor as I remember seeing someone get a stone lodged in the contact surface of the brake pad.

try rebleeding your brake system before you go tare anything apart, could be a bad line or a steel sliver from manufacturing, when bleeding you should beable to tell if theres a bad line or something plugging it up by the force it takes to put the pedal to the floor, but deffinately try every other possibility before you pull it apart

sounds like one side of your caliper is stuck. the guide pins need lubricating every time you replace pads, something thats rarely done. also if the caliper piston pushes out too far (happens when the pads get too low before changing) they have a tendency to seize once pushed back in.

I'm going to agree that it sounds like bleeding the system is in order. If the problem prissiests, then an inspection of the calipers themselves is the next step. And I'm sure you're like the rest of us, and the calipers are still under warrenty, so it should be free at the dealership.
So drive hard, and keep it at 100 around the corners |
