Enkei Raijin Hyper Silver 18x9.5 with Firehawk Indy 255/35/18. The concavity is much more pronounced in person and I was very pleasantly surprised when I saw them. I have the 18x8 (or 8.5?) which will be my winter wheels now, and these almost look like different wheels.

Looks really clean! Which dash cam?

I drove to my local Toyota dealership to look at a silver 2017 BRZ with the performance pack... Those big red brakes are doing it for me. Also, the BRZ redesign is really nice; a much more mature design compared to the FRS. Plus, I have started to hate the Silver Ignition color.

I didn't drive the BRZ or let the dealer evaluate my car. I'm praying that someone buys the BRZ in the next few days or I might. It has been all I think about when I should just keep saving for a possible Gen 2.

Back last year we were dropping my wife's car off at Subaru for service and they had a nice new, shiny, Series Yellow sitting there. She looked at me, saw where I was staring and just said "no godamned way".

Blah. Went back and drove it. Interesting thing is that it had yellow Ohn's Struts on it. I think those are good? Google says they are $2K. Not that I care whether they are there or not. At least the ride height was lower and it felt really good over rough pavement.

Shorter gearing was nice too. I like the leather steering wheel. The transmission also didn't feel as notchy. But the steering felt too light, not sure why. I also think it had the clutch spring delete because the clutch peddle was very light and the grab point was lower - I did not like the low effort clutch.

With all of that, I was ready to buy. Then they told me I would have to swap the exhaust because they couldn't do it, and for some reason that tiny inconvenience that would take up my Saturday morning sitting for an hour at some shop made me a little butthurt. Then they showed me some trash numbers and tried the "wait, let me see if we can do something else" and magically found an extra $3K for my trade. By then I was sour. They kept me there another 30 minutes finding $.50 here and there. I tried telling them to give me the night to think about it, but they were dead set on getting me to sign right there. It makes me paranoid when someone wants something so bad, like there is something hidden that I'm not seeing. Just be chill and stop trying to be a salesperson. In the end, I'm happy that I'm not taking on an extra $100-120 mo. payment. My rational thankfully replaced my impulsive nature.

I think I'll keep an eye out for a Limited model without the PP and a few more miles.

Never heard of Ohns. Ohlins on the other hand are pretty well top of the line

Yup, Ohlins. The stock suspension was in the trunk to both my and the salesman's suprise. If I had the means to swap the stock system I guess I could have sold them, but I don't have the means and can't be bothered to try.

For the right price some rabid suspension-phile would happily swap those out for you

Traction control relocation, phase 1, using old game pad buttons (lol), in order to mount a cup holder on the transmission tunnel later. Hopefully will add some more controls and doll it up soon.
