Here's our thread on the JRZ RS1 from waaay back in 2012 (whoa). We were part of their testing for this car.

You posted in there too!

Spring rates are custom. They were 400 lbs/in or 7 kg/mm for that specific set. It was easily better riding than stock on all roads.

RS? nah bruh go with the JRZ 1431's jk thats $15 grand lol.

The RS1 is a very nice coilover, RS is slightly more adaptable because of the two way adjustability, just takes longer to dial them in.

Im no expert but once you have the compression dialed in, the only thing i would dial in periodically would be the rebound adjustment

I'm of the same mindset as ultra where I would prefer the simplicity of dialing in a 1-way versus a 2-way because I don't have the knowledge/experience or track time to properly dial them in. However, having the ability to upgrade to a 2-way down the road would be nice. That's why I've been considering the MCS 1-way which are upgradeable to 2-way. Solid company reputation and cheaper than RS1s, but I don't see a lot of people using them on this platform, which makes me hesitant.

@Deraj I could be wrong but IIRC the MCS units are from Australia, which could be why you don't hear about them much on here.

You're in Socal; you can always have CSG dial it in for you, along with written notes for how to make adjustments based on what you're doing and the conditions you're driving in.

That's the case for 90% of the cars we set up that are mixed duty cars. Compression changes are pretty rare, unless there's a very specific purpose.

I was filled with a little trepidation before getting my 2 way dampers. I thought I would in over my head. This turns out not to be the case. Unlike 67 click $800 dampers each click on a quality 16 or so click damper makes a discernible difference. So, you adjust one thing at a time and make notes.
I think 2 ways are worth the extra money and time.
