Because its not true? Exact reasons why so many people are switching to Precision. Unfortunately people are so caught up on the Garrett name they still think that is the only true solution.

I made 460 whp on a mustang (~550 whp dynojet) on GTX3076R at 18.6 psi. Garret might be much about name, but also about reliability and the power is there. I keep having friends with horror PTE stories, turbos still having issues after 3 warranty claims. Doesn't mean Garrett is perfect and zero issues, but still hear more issues with PTE's than Garrett's.

While we sell and use both brands...I'm not sure Garrett would have even developed the GTX stuff if it wasn't for the PTE billet's kicking the crap out of the standard GT stuff in performance...In the end with competition everyone wins.

That is true and the other factor that isn't mentioned in here is always going to be price. Many turbos/kits are built to a price point.

The journal bearing PTE's are definitely not the best in terms of reliability Ill admit that. Not saying that the Garrett's cant and wont make power but the PTE in the P&L kit is smaller, spools quicker and matches the gtx3076r power. Call me a PTE salesman but i sell both brands. We see better results with the PTE's.

When does it start to make boost, when is full boost and at what PSI? Just wondering, no pissing contest.

My GTX3076R with .82 backhousing starts making boost right before 3K, full boost is 4200

Around the same depending on exhaust setup. A full 3" will see it sooner, 18 psi by 4000-4100.
