Your car is quieter than my MR2, lol.

RE: Wheels - TR said they're making some new designs and a lot of them will be SSC compatible. +40mm will be nice for out of the box stuff and no ARP studs. The ability to tune with spacers shouldn't be overlooked, however.

You're thinking of something like the bulldog stance, a lower offset in the front and a higher offset in the rear?

Yep. They keep you appraised, at some rather odd detail level, but they aren't even going to order material before your money is in their accounts.

As for the noise, drive it more. Coating of soot does wonders for knocking down the reverb. My car didn't even register a reading at Devens, which means <85 (80?). All runs listed "Lo."

Depends on what kind of handling balance you need. Simple non-technical way to look at it is wider = more grip.

I've done sound a few times at Devens and as long as it was the same setup then you're right with less than 80. I ended up switching to a home made track pipe on my car and only once did I hit an 81 at a different groups event.

That's good to hear it makes sound then, it would be the cheapest way to get the exhaust benefits in SSC depending on how you interpret the entirely arbitrary phrase "track pipe"

DSG Performance / @Jason@DSG is connected enough to pull off something like this.

The track pipe language is to avoid straight pipes or unmuffled exhausts. I wouldn’t be surprised if they removed that language with the updated weight restrictions so it is clearer.

The Nameless muffled track pipe is legal with the previous and current versions of exhaust rules. In a quick dialog with an SSC AC member, he was well aware of this exhaust and have already commented it meets the requirements when used with the OEM midpipe (or any midpipe that gets the exhaust up to the 18lb limit)

Depending on the course layout I can also make the car turn left or right really good too

Keep multiple sets of spacers at different thicknesses so you can change them in between runs at national events.

@Jason@DSG inbox is full, so hopefully he catches the mention here and let's us know if DSG is interested.

Oakos Automotive might also be able to make something happen. I know they've done a lot of group buys on Enkeis, and will occasionally work customer color/size and offset orders too.

A 17x8 +40 Enkei PF01 would be a pretty nice wheel option for the class.

I would be happy to see a custom 40mm offset Enkei PF01 or Rota Titan group buy
