Are all of these ideas for a meet going to take place on the 24th and 25th in Portland? Because I might show up.

Ultra, you think we could have a general itinerary laid out by end of August? I'll need to know around then in order to put in for leave and arrange hotels.
@ichitaka05, come with us.

Sure. Let's go for it. The alternative is not even trying.

Tcoat's post has days and cities; I would just need to know which days or cities in particular the meet(s) would be. I would be driving up. Probably won't make any hot dishes for a cookout; I don't think they would stay warm on the drive.

Hot Dish - So Minnesota.

I think if we don't try to pack in too much we can make a solid plan for at least one of those days. Let's see what Tcoat says.

Our plan is the 24th and 25th in Portland. Depending on what needs to be done we can be flexible on the cities. The only firm dates are the days we fly in and out.

OK so the wife's vacation time is approved. Tickets for flight will be purchased Monday. This is a go.

The itinerary details remain to be worked out but I hope to meet as many people as possible from here. I have no idea what pho is other than what I have read here so that could be a great option.

Yes. First two days Seattle then two days Portland then back to Seattle. At this point the only firm things I want to do are the air museums and look for hobby shops. You know the drill there. The wife fully understands that she will be pretty much abandoned but as long as she is parked in a casino she is fine with that.

Speaking of hobby shops, how are those WW1 machine guns coming?

I'll do some research on hobby shops. We have plenty of time.

Still in the que. I had a run of paid commissions that threw my order of build right out the window. I haven't even done the FRS kit I have been saying I will do a build thread on yet and that has been the priority for a year now. I most certainly have to do a custom build for a certain aircraft to bring with me in October.
Since you mention that though there is a new metal simulating paint out that i want to try and that gun set would be ideal for it.
