My sad saga

So ... my friends wanted me to take some photos of my FR-S in some scenic setting. I get my car washed and drive to a beautiful lake near my house and meet this young deer with my right front corner. At least they gave me a good rental until it comes back from the body shop (3 - 4 weeks with luck).
Guess how much time I spent stomping around and cursing. More damn deer in rural NC than people sometimes.

Are you serious about getting an R8 for a rental?

Daaaaang Sorry to hear that.. Its good man, does your insurance go up for hitting deer?

I retired after 25 years of handling automobile insurance claims. I've never known of a persons rates going up because of a comprehensive claim.

OK, ya got me. It's a neighbor's R8. Would have been nice. Instead I have the car of my dreams, a Chevy Impala. And no, I've been told that my insurance rates won't go up, despite the deer being uninsured.

I ask because in FL we don't have deer. Panthers and Alligator are what we watch for but mostly in the Everglades

Google "Key Deer"

I've seen a number offroading and in the keys, they are almost never in cities unlike the midwest though.

Did you wash the car already? I see no protein stains in the affected areas.
