Yes, I don't believe ethanol is the problem either. I searched out an ethanol free station and put pure 93 in it (and it was uber expensive) and I still had crickets. Oddly, they are intermittent with my car. Some days they are noticeably loud, other days they are gone. On the same tank of 92 octane Sams Club gas...

I gave up trying to figure them out, and just put in a better sound system...

The way you've built the car up I'd say throwing a 400hp turbo at it would be well...complete.

I have a question on the TRD front pillow mount camber plate thingies for you @supra2nv. Yep, I'm not mechanically minded at all.

I have the TRD coilovers like you and have just got the front TRD camber pillow mount set like you have. Did you keep the springs that came with the coilovers or replace? I have heard that you need to change the springs to fit the TRD pillow top.

Hopefully you'll get what I mean as I don't know the correct terminology.

I kept the springs. I remember the rear kit wouldn't fit so didnt install that and something about the front that i had the upper pillow mount installed but not the lower portion of the kit. Makes sense now as to why the heck it wouldn't work grrrr

@Anaxilus recommended this conditioner/charger and it's exceptional, much more than a charger/maintainer. It will restore older batteries, reversing the zinc deposits that can pierce separators causing shorts and greatly extend their useful life. I've used it on all three of my cars/SUV with great results. It might take a few days to completely charge a low battery with it's slower reflex pulse charging technology (I run the same Braille that showed 9.4V, near reversing that would have been the end for a $155 month-old battery) but once charged will work as new. Now I quickly plug it in with the supplied permanent leads every few days and no more worries. It was on sale last month for $49.95 delivered but given the result would gladly pay current price.

I wouldn't consider it a downgrade at all. There is a time and place for different types of sports cars. There is also time to invest in said car or not to invest. At the end of the day, sure its cool to have a high end sports car, but does it make you happy at the end of the day? Is it what you really wanted? Is it practical for daily use to get its full potential of fun out of it? Not all of the time. I have never owned either car, but I do know of people who get rid of them because it is simply not what they want anymore, or tired of paying for the daily needs of those vehicles.

Frs is gorgeous. My subjective opinion but it has better curves than most cars I've seen.
