I use the project mu brake fluid. But plan to switch to the torque rt700 brake fluid.

I find the differences of opinion on Brake Bias quite interesting.
On the one hand you have one of the industry's most highly respected companies (Essex) deem the factory bias fine, to the point that they have elected to not pursue the development of a matching rear kit to their no-compromise front kits. This is interesting as it is in their commercial interests to sell rear kits, regardless of the actual value to the consumer. On the other hand RR Racing are adamant that the factory bias is too far forward even for cars not running downforce, and have specifically developed kits to change it. I for one would love to see some back to back track data comparing the AP Sprint/OEM combo against the equivalent RR kit, though I am guessing that's asking a lot. I was actually looking at matching an Essex Sprint kit with a rebuilt WRX 2 piston fixed caliper on the rear (same brake torque as single piston BRZ OEM) that I picked up cheap. But I do like the look of the RR front kits, and the fact that the smaller of the 6 piston setups will fit under OEM wheels. This would allow me to run a more aggressive tire on RPF1s for track days without having to fit spacers or extended wheel studs for OEM wheel fitment (my car is also a daily driver). |

I added extended studs front and rear and it really wasn't a very big deal to install (H&R 50mm front, ARP 60mm rear). Also, the aftermarket studs seem to be harder than the stock studs which people have reported tend to strip/cross thread on repeated use (don't know if this was simply user error though). Guess my point is that aftermarket studs might be a worthwhile swap anyhow.

For people concerned that they clear but are really close, the general rule of thumb I've seen in other threads is to give yourself at least 2mm clearance. I've even seen stock brake systems on other cars with only about 2mm clearance before.

it totally depends on the face design which makes it hard to give a yes or a no. For example the RPF1 18x8 +35 would not fit the stage 2 kit however the +45 model does which is totally counter intuitive but its just because the way the face of the wheel is designed
