The really good news: "Looks like we have a future for the platform"

Perhaps we should possibly be thankful it looks, overall very similar to what we already own.

Sans the new bow and stern, it's really the same car...nothing really new.

Possibly I'd be more interested to see a totally new look from the ground up.

I see it as just a tease so far.

Can anyone name me a car already made, with a targa top, which does not squeak and rattle and/or leak in the rain ?

It is just similar to what we own in appearance because they obviously used an 86 for the concept base. If it ever went to production it would probably look very different.

Exactly. And hopefully it ends up looking better than it does now. I remember the original ft-86 concept looked way more hideous than this new concept, and they found a way to make a sexy car out of it.

Well, having been in Japan in the majority of the past month, and not having really looked at this site at all in that time, I can see I stepped on a land mine. Rest assured, it wont happen again. Ever.

There's no way that'll be less than 3000 lbs or $30k.

(If this quote is a repost my apologies.)
this was well known for a while. toyota & subaru confirmed a 2nd gen almost 2 years ago if I'm not mistaken...they have had plenty of different concepts & special editions to give them an idea of what they can do for the next go around. tbh i don't think too much will change with the 2nd gen, my bet is it will still be a 2.0 na as the potential bmw supra will occupy the 4 banger turbo gap

Hey, at least a couple of us had your back! You were there and saw it up close and I for one place more credence in your report than another .au piece of "will be on the road in six months" bullshit.
