Perhaps a bit off topic, but why do people write ''bump'' in a thread.

And guys, I think you guys are forgetting that it is pronounced Geek-En, not Gitch-En...

Although, when I look at it, I always read it as Gitch-En too...

It moves the thread to the top of the front page; a very active forum can quickly push a thread to the next page where it isn't easily seen. It gets "bumped" to the front!
